Answer(s) for Advertising

  •
  • Why won`t my listing come up in your database?
  • Before trying anything else, use a Reverse Search on your business phone number to see if the listing is missing from our database. If your business listing comes back after the Reverse Search, then verify the spelling of your business name on the listing. If the name is correct, then it is possible that the listing may have been placed under the wrong heading. If you know the heading your business listing belongs under, then you can verify this from our Browse Categories page. If you run into problems or the reverse search doesnt locate your business, please use the Contact Us form and submit a Support Request. Generally, we will get back to you within 24 hours.

  • A rude sales person contacted me about buying yellow pages advertising.
  • These scams were recently covered by local Cincinnati troubleshooters John Matarese (Channel 9) and on Howard Ain (Channel 12).
Unfortunately there are a several telemarketing firms outside of Cincinnati that contact businesses in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky and imply that they work on behalf of the Cincinnati Bell Directory. Please be careful, this is a scam. If anyone contacts you about yellow pages advertising, please ask for a call back phone number. If the phone number is a toll-free number or a phone number outside of Cincinnati, you are not talking to a Cincinnati Bell Directory employee. The Cincinnati Bell Directory team operates locally, from downtown Cincinnati. As a further note, this type of scam may also occur by direct mail, so be on the lookout for suspicious mailings asking for you to renew your advertising at odd times during the year.In any case, if you are unsure about the legitimacy of a sales call or direct mail, please do not hesitate to contact us at (513) 768-7800 or by the web.
